Hi, I’m Tallie! I’m the webmistress and owner of talliescorner.co.uk. I’m from the UK and I work full time during the week as a University Lecturer.
My blog is focused on two of my hobbies: pixel arts and paper crafts.
I’ve been involved in the Pixel community since about 2010, originally starting out making graphics for friends and the community on Livejournal. I opened my own pixel member area in Summer 2012. Sadly, the community is no longer as active as it once was, but the girls of the PixelTCG are keeping at least one corner of it alive. All of my pixel resources can be found on my memberships page.
In the last year I have started to post more about my homemade cards and paper crafting bits that I make for family and friends. I took a couple of online colouring classes for Copic alcohol markers and have been working to improve my skills. I’m more of a clean and simple maker with bright, bold colours and cute critters. I’m not a big fan of girlie pinks, but I’m learning to incorporate them in cards for those that do! All of my cards can be found in my card gallery.
The things I make and share have been purchased by myself, won through entering various crafting competitions or sent on for me to make projects with (products in this last category will be marked). Some affiliate links are used (they will be marked) in crafting supply lists, where possible, and are provided at no cost to you. I usually link to Seven Hills Crafts, my favourite UK-based crafting supplier, or Amazon for more general products. All recommendations and links are provided because I have used and loved the product; I will not review or link something I don’t like. All opinions are my own, as are my mistakes.
Logo design is my own using brushes from Aless1984. Pixel graphics made by other artists are click-linked and hover credited.
